Spring Break...Last Day!!

It's hard to believe that vacation is coming to an end. It's hard to put into words just how enjoyable our week together has been. The kids are at the perfect age for all of the magical memories we made.

Only 51 weeks until we get to do it again.....thanks for the memories, Destin!

Spring Break...Day 6

The winds were a little more than we wanted this morning...so we set out for a day at The Track. The kids had a ball...go-carting, ferris wheels, train rides, and the arcade.

And what would vacation be without a big splurge on seafood/steaks? We went to Pompano Joes for a fun lunch on the beach. The kids loved the atmosphere...and Mommy and Daddy loved the "cocktail hour."

Can't believe we'll be packing up tomorrow...

Spring Break...Day Four

Well...we made it until 6:58 a.m. today! We're making progress. The morning started with a great breakfast at The Donute Hole....seriously, the best pastries in the world! People stand in line for hours to get breakfast...we were there fairly early, so we had very little wait time.

Another fun morning on the beach with a little baseball and football. The kids are definitely into burying each other in the sand. Everyone must have been tired...we all took long naps after lunch.

SanDestin is about 5 miles from our condo, so we loaded up a picnic dinner and headed to Baytowne Wharf. It was so beautiful!! The kids played at an amazing playground for a while and then we headed to "The Zone." The boys were both tall enough to climb the high ropes course. Andrew was the first to lead the pack...his nerves almost got the best of him. But once he found his courage...he was a pro. Alex was a natural from the start. Kevin bought me a ticket for the zip line after I'd mentioned I'd like to give it a try. Talk about exhilaration...what a high! Had to show the kids that mommy can still be adventurous!!

The boys were so excited for the Butler-vs-Duke game tonight...as I'm writing this, there's 5:00 to go. Neither one made it past the first half...even after naps, they're still exhausted. Tomorrow looks to be another beautiful day!
