Valentine's Weekend
Every year the little holidays tend to get bigger and better....because of how much fun it is for the kids! Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday, so we celebrated on Saturday night. We hired (2) babysitters to come over for the night and watch EIGHT kids while the adults went out for a nice dinner. The kids and I were able to decorate and make fun snacks during the day. I have to admit that I was a little scared to see what the house was going to look like once we made it back home...but it was basically spotless! They had spent the majority of time playing the Wii and watching movies.
After naps on Sunday, we hid envelopes for the kids with a little bit of money in them. We told them they had 5 minutes to get dressed and be in the van....we were heading to Toys-R-Us and they got to buy anything they wanted. Two hours later, we came home with all kinds of treasures. It was so funny to watch each of them strategically try and stretch their dollars as far as they could.

SuperBowl Weekend
It was so much fun watching the Colts this season. Our boys live for Sunday afternoons almost as much as Kevin and I do. They've memorized player numbers, colors of teams, and mascots...just for fun! I hope that math facts come as easily for them.
Although we didn't get a SuperBowl ring, the weekend was full of fun memories with our family and friends. Andrew spiked a fever right around kick-off, but a little Motrin did the trick!
Thanks for a great season, Blue! Can't wait until next September...

Happy 2nd Birthday, Amaya!
It's hard to believe that it has been two years since Kevin tearfully shouted, "It's a Girl!" Wow....those are some fun memories! Amaya and her cousin, Courtney, have birthdays 13 days apart. This year we celebrated their parties together. With birthdays, Colt's SuperBowl festivities, and snow storms....it has been a CRAZY couple of weeks. But does it get any better than this??
Amaya is into the Berenstain Bears like nothing I've ever seen before. Her gift from Kevin and I was a collection of all four bears. She sleeps with them every night and we have to kiss each one before tucking them under her favorite blanket. She is a "mother in the making."
She is a very independent, "do it myself" little girl with a smile and eyes that will melt your heart. A constant joy and a blessing to me....
